Maddie's Piano Recital

Franz's parents stayed with us the weekend of Madeline's June piano recital. The following weekend, Father's Day, was also when we left town for a 6-7 week road trip, so I was unable to post the recital pictures at that time.

Here, Maddie is contemplating her songs before the recital. She performed Clair de Lune from memory, and used a book during her duet with me - Waltz.

Getting a little sister support ahead of time.

Here Madeline and I are playing our duet.

Maddie and her teacher, Mr. Anderson.

Jackson, as you might imagine, is not a huge fan of silently sitting through a piano recital. We strapped him into the stroller and Franz wheeled him around in the lobby and halls of the church. They took a break from constant movement for Franz to video Maddie's performance.

Side note:

The Presbyterian church her teacher secured for the recital had a bulletin board with pictures of the missionaries they supported. Franz noticed, during his strolls with Jackson, that there was a flyer picturing my cousin Rita Tillett and her family! Small world!
