I made a selection of traditional goodies and a separate assortment of nut-free (nothing produced in a plant that also produces things with nuts) ones, as well. We have several friends whose children have very serious nut allergies.
Turtles before the chocolate
Chocolate covered apricots
Chocolate covered, sprinkle and colored sugar dipped pretzel rods
Shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate and white chocolate and rolled in colored sugar or crushed peppermintI also made marshmallow M&M graham cracker bars that tasted like s'mores, caramel corn, molasses cookies, peanut butter kiss cookies, chocolate cookies with crushed peppermint, white chocolate macadamia nut cranberry cookies, chocolate peanut clusters, English toffee, peanut butter cup fudge, and I don't know what all else.
I was surprised how many people couldn't believe that I made Christmas treats and gave them away (neighbors and friends and teachers). Does no one do this anymore?

Obviously, we missed out this year when you and your your delightful goodies stayed in AZ for Christmas! No wonder everyone was amazed! The variety and amount shared were definitely gifts of time and love.
You can do your baking here next year! Whatdya think? ;o)
I'm with Mom on this one...very happy to have you around next year for the holidays to help you consume...er, bake/make goodies.
Also, I'm very interested in the peppermint meringues. Must have that recipe (as well as the general meringue kisses, if you have it. I sure don't.).
