Jackson loves cars. I know this sentence won't shock most of you, but it seems to be something he's decided on his own. At about 9 months he began a fascination with Hot Wheels, which I don't understand. How is it that all the toys designed for a baby weren't interesting, but Hot Wheels were? I don't know; it must be genetic. He loves the sound of a custom exhaust as it drives by, which I know has to be genetic. Anyway, Jackson loves cars, and has been showered with the perfect gifts from near and far. Here are some pictures of him to prove my point.
Grandpa and Grandma Gottschalk sent him this big green Tonka truck that makes noise if it smashes into something. Obviously a big hit; look at his reaction.
Mom and Dad gave Jackson this car ramp with two cars. This picture is witness to the only time I have seen him sit still and concentrate on a toy ever.Franz picked out a set of big plastic Tonka trucks to give Jackson about a year ago, and held onto them until his birthday. They were both very excited!
Franz gave Jackson these two Hot Wheels - a fast car and a police car to reinact Franz's many experiences with speeding down the road. He proceeded to play out the drama for Jackson, complete with driving and siren sounds, much to Jackson's delight. This picture captures his reaction at the instant he is handed the toys.
Thus my observation that Jackson loves cars.
