Christmas at Thanksgiving in AZ

Celebrating Christmas at Thanksgiving with the girls.I love this picture. Aren't they cute! The girls were apparently thrilled with the new nightgowns with matching doll nightgowns that we brought.
Madeline read to Katie the story of Jimmy the Elf on the Shelf in preparation for his arrival.
Jimmy the Elf surprised us when he showed up while we were there. He watched the children from a different spot in the house every day (usually up high) and was said to report to Santa every night after they went to bed. For some reason whenever they saw or thought of Jimmy, the girls were on their best behavior. Jackson appeared unaffected, however.

We assisted with decorating two Christmas trees. That was fun as we reminisced with Emily and the girls about special ornaments from her childhood and theirs.

Some ornaments were 30 years old or more, like the Holly Hobby in the lower right of this picture. Madeline is hanging another Holly Hobby. How many of you remember that character?

I like the Jimmy picture with the girls. I hadn't seen that one.

Other than these two ornaments, I have no idea who Holly Hobby was. Sounds vaguely familiar, but still, can't bring anything to mind regarding this character.

The girls in their nightgowns with dolls matching make an adorable picture.
