A Bad Way to Wake Up, Especially When You Aren't Wearing Your Contacts

I had a disconcerting wake up this morning in the shower, before I even put in my contacts. What do you think I found?
  • A bug in the soap
  • A Peeping Tom
  • A spider in my mesh scrubby
  • A nest of baby mice falling on my head
  • A messed up pedicure
  • A broken temperature adjuster

Can you guess? Of note: one of the above happened to me today, and one actually happened to my fourth grade teacher.

I know both, but I won't tell. Katie told me about your discovery and you have told me more than once about your teacher's experience! Incredible! Yuck!

Brian's guess is the spider in your mesh scrubby. They all sound terrible to me-I can't imagine any of them happening!!!

I'm guessing for you the broken temp. adjuster, and for your 4th grade teacher a nest of baby mice.

For the record, I found a spider in my mesh scrubby. It crawled out as soon as I held the scrubby under the stream of water. Keep in mind that I couldn't actually see anything other than a rapidly moving black spot, which certainly didn't look right. A bad omen for the day if ever I experienced one.

My fourth grade teacher's experience was of a nest of baby mice falling on her head in the shower. She told us the story several times. It was obviously very traumatic, even to listen to, since I recall it vividly to this day.
