It was so fun to pick up The Rochester Sentinel last night and see a nice long article from Leslie with new information about her Appalachian trek! She and Megan have faced many dangerous and challenging obstacles in the past couple of weeks! We are grateful for God's protection and for everyone's faithful prayers! Thank you and keep it up. Two to three more weeks should find them summitting Mt. Katahdin and completing the trek of a lifetime!
When I opened the same newspaper there was this big picture of Madeline Forman, my almost 4-year-old granddaughter (Sept. 9), with a beautiful black swallowtail butterfly on her shoulder. Our local newspaper prints pictures submitted by readers under the title "Worthy of a Frame". I decided to send this especially neat picture in and the editor of the page called and told me it was a great picture and definitely worthy to be printed! I have reposted it here, even though it is in the Caterpillar Story, a previous blog entry, with many related pictures. Madeline was thrilled to wake up to a photo shoot with this freshly emerged butterfly! A common, yet magnificent, metamorphic miracle!
