Emily tried out her new tortilla press tonight. We shared dinner at Evan's house where she served us delicious tacos with homemade tortillas, rice with salsa, and corn. We had a great time sharing in preparations, dining, and playing Five Crowns!
We decided homemade tortillas are worth it for special occasions! Yum!

Oooh! I'm so sorry I missed it. Sounds delicious. Even the colors look festive! Maybe I'll fly up for a nice dinner...
You ought to fly up for one of those dinners. It was amazing! Three cheers for Emily Jane!
Thanks to the title "Senorita Emily", I was disapointed to find the sombrero and tequila shooters missing from the picture. A shame.
Well, considering Mom was taking the picture, I'm sure she was wearing the sombrero and the tequila shooters were long gone...
We're probably just getting half the picture here!
To set the record straight, Dad took the picture and you may never know the full story! Suffice it to say, we had a great time!
I think I need to fess up here - I must admit that I had a TREMENDOUS amount of help from my future mother-in-law - we had such a fun time...she even promised to come over EVERY night and help me cook! What a great lady!

It must have been the tequila. I don't remember making that offer, Emily!
We did have a super time and I am willing to try again to perfect our technique. Tina thinks a little more water, perhaps. Tina even said she would love to show us how she makes tortillas!
I am also up for experimenting with you on some of the other recipes in that special cookbook! Just tell me when! :o)
I think the tequila shooters must have been put in play when I was changing in the bedroom... I don't remember any of that.
I did want to mention... doesn't Emily match the wall very nicely? I was impressed. Good choice with the paint color too, Leslie!
