Rochester Holiday Happenings

Special times celebrated in the last two weeks with our family included Christmas Eve service with Leslie and Lana and friends at church, Christmas morning and brunch with Leslie and Lana, Christmas evening dinner with Leslie, Lana, Evan and Emily Jane, family Christmas celebration with all our children and grandchildren, Emily and Franz's wedding anniversary, Evan's birthday and New Year's Eve (which are the same day). What a lot of fun with Madeline and Katie, and all our children home for several days!

One thing that made this Christmas memorable was that we were all home for the first time in several years! We enjoyed that immensely!

Katie and Madeline created cookie creations for all to enjoy!

Another memory-maker was creating and singing parodies of Christmas songs for each family member. Each was surprised and amused by the song in his or her honor. Katie loved hearing her name in a song about her!

Lana and Leslie sang several parodies that they had written, generating lots of laughs!

The girls brought lots of fun to our Christmas celebration!

On New Year's Day we sent Leslie off to Washington State by way of Chicago, Denver, Billings, Bozeman. Her adventures continue!

Evan's birthday dinner, which Emily Jane and Leslie planned as a surprise!

Emily Jane decorated this cake for Evan! Her very first cake decorating experience! Great job! For those of you who don't know, the Wii is a game system which Emily Jane gave Evan for Christmas. We bowled, played tennis, and boxed with the Wii.

The whole family enjoyed many meals together!

Emily and Franz made the long trip to Rochester and we are so glad. They are driving home right now! Safe travels!
