Next Month's Miracles

As I was talking to my sister today about the current situations I'm facing including: Katie's croup, possible TMJ, business cash flow, licensing/code/staffing issues, taxes, lawsuit, time management, etc., I realized that I am not as stressed as the above situations and an over-reactive personality would dictate. In fact, I am not as stressed out as I would have been a few months ago under these circumstances. While trying to put my finger on it, I realized this:

I have seen miracles.

Last month, before we left for Christmas, we were having business issues related to a certain financing situation, and the anticipation of the standard slow January. We prayed about it, and have exercised the constant process of pulling ourselves back out of it - letting go, emotionally - and have witnessed God at work.

Despite the economy and the industry, business has been clicking away - one of the top 4 months of the past 12 and we aren't even done yet. Our financing institution agreed with everything we mentioned to them and revamped our agreement with them in major ways. Those two miracles have meant everything this month.

So, now I'm looking at all the things threatening me on all sides, knowing that I am not big enough to handle it all, and echoing King Jehoshaphat in saying to God, "We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you."

I am excitedly expecting next month's miracles.

Thanks for sharing this with everyone. It's awesome to see God at work in our lives, I mean...why would he do that? Only because he loves us. And I'll take that. I love that quote from Jehoshaphat. I think I might embroider it on something, or at least write it on a piece of paper and post it on my mirror.

I love that quote, too, and have personally hung onto it many times! Keeping our eyes on things above and not on things of the earth is an act of faith and God responds to faith. He is also the author and source of our faith! Wow! Thanks for sharing the miracles and know we are praying for many more "supernatural interventions of God" for you!
