At the Easter service this year, the children's ministry consisely presented the kids with the gospel, and the steps of Christian life. Madeline came home that day and began asking me about baptism. Shortly after, they offered a class for children who were interested in learning more about several the topics they had discussed. Madeline asked if she and I could go. We spent a Saturday afternoon in class, and at the end she filled out a card requesting to be baptized. Rather than be a part of the very large baptism ceremony, she took them up on the offer of a smaller, private ceremony the following week. We met up with the pastor on a Saturday afternoon, and Franz was able to perform the baptism himself. It was beautiful and exciting to see our oldest child take this step with an obvious desire to learn and make her own decisions. What a blessing our daughter Madeline is!
