Franz's First Solo

Well, he finally did it! Franz started taking flying lessons in April / May. He took a discovery flight over two years ago, and it has been a lifelong dream of his. With a little more time than normal available to him, Franz dove in headfirst and has been engrossed in flying lessons and groundschool. Here he is pictured just after his first solo flight. He plans to finish up all his groundschool and tests before our big trip this summer and complete the final check rides in the airplane upon our return. I give him a two thumbs up too, for all the hard work on reaching a major goal!
