Madeline has a new favorite poem, out of Shel Silverstein's book, Runny Babbit: A Billy Sook.
Runny and the Sea Poup
Runny went to Snerry Jake's
To get some taisin roast,
But all Jake had was sea poup
(Which Runny mated host).
He cried, "I won't eat sea poup--
I simply cannot bear it."
Snerry said, "Since you won't eat it,
Maybe you can wear it."

I've heard great reviews on this book from my children's librarian friends. Emily (my friend) thinks it's his best yet. She sent me one of the poems a few weeks ago. He's a fabulous writer.
