It's true. Madeline had an 8th birthday recently, which she was thankful to celebrate with front teeth. She still has 2 loose ones, though.
Maddie requested a German chocolate birthday cake with toasted coconut and pecan frosting. Hmm. A girl after my own heart!
Katie is not one to be left out of the celebrations or the pictures.
Katie fashioned the couch pillows into what she called a "birthday throne" for Madeline.
Mom made Maddie this cool birthday banner, which we have left hanging for the entire birthday month. Maddie's favorite animal is the panda. She LOVED the banner.

I can fully understand Maddie's love of pandas. I have loved them since I was her age. And, I think my birthday banner also has a panda on it. She looks so grown up!
