Natural wonder

I only wish I had pictures to share, but the subjects are somewhat flighty when we come around! Spring is such a great time on the lake! From day to day you never know what type of waterfowl you may have the privilege to identify, observe, and admire. Just in the past two or three days we have seen three eagles of some type (not sure if immature bald eagles or golden eagles), a bald eagle, mergansers, loons, a blue snow goose (alone and not welcomed by the ubiquitous Canada geese), mallard ducks, great blue heron, gulls, and some small unidentified ducks, among others. In our trees and around the feeder we are enjoying many kinds of sparrows, red-bellied woodpeckers, downy woodpeckers, tufted titmice, black-capped chickadees, cardinals, mourning doves, and Eastern kingbirds. We have seen an occasional robin, too. What we haven't seen are green grass, buds of spring flowers, and very many green leaves of early flowers. Nonetheless, we did enjoy a sunny day with sunlight dancing on the moving water, and birds soaring, dipping, fishing, diving, stalking, gliding, gulping, bobbing, and running across the water.
What a fascinating place to live! What a fascinating creation to enjoy! The earth declares His glory!
