Dress Up Days

As a part of the Jim Nasi Customs cycle contest we sponsored (twice, as it turned out), Franz and I had to be red-carpet ready twice in one week. Kind of fun to try out the first time, but way too time-consuming to suit my tastes. We were supposed to do the cycle in conjunction with the Jordin Sparks Celebrity Charity Gala during the week before the Super Bowl, but there were some last-minute scheduling changes, that resulted in our doing the challenge three days later at a sports marketing celebrity party. Since Franz doesn't have time to keep up with the sports world, and I have no interest in it, we had no idea who was wandering around in there, and felt like we were wasting some perfectly good fan time for some sports fan who would have loved to trade places for the evening. My apologies, Dad and Evan. I'm sure you would have recognized the names and faces. Anyway, the game went off without a hitch that second time (we weren't standing just off-stage and ready to go on for three hours this time). The contestant did not win the cycle, but did win his first attempt of three so it was exciting.

Our church hosted a Father Daughter Dance a couple of weeks after Valentine's Day. Several of Madeline's Happy Apple friends from two years ago went to it with them. They had a wonderful evening of dinner and dancing. I allowed Madeline to take some clear lip gloss and a pack of gum in her little black velvet purse and she was on top of the world. Franz picked up a wrist corsage with pink roses, which you can see in the picture. Katie preferred to stay home this time, but I'm sure she'll look forward to being included next year.

I love the pictures. I swear you and Franz are the most beautiful couple ever. Lots of gorgeosity.

And the girls are so grown up-looking and precious. How much fun for a little girl to get all dressed up and hang out with their dads. I love that.
