Well, after we visited everyone we knew that didn't live in 113-degrees and stayed as long as we could at each place, we decided to make our trip back to the southwest sauna as long as possible; we road-tripped.
A DVD player helped make the long stretches bearable for all of us, although all Katie wanted to watch was Curious George, which (of course) we didn't bring with us.
Leaving from Western Illinois, we toured through Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and finally Arizona. We saw Ulysses S. Grant's house, a pioneer settlement, the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, Custer State Park, Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and Zion National Park. Animals included bears, bison, a fox, wolves, reindeer, elk, and mountain goats.

Great Pictures! Looks like you had such a good time!
You'll have to send me the flatbread recipe - it looks delicious even if isn't flat. :)
