This is the little Hawaiian girl outfit for Katie's birthday from Mom and Dad. 
Maddie is playing at preschool with two of her friends, Garrett and Taelor.
The actual day came and went fairly uneventfully, except for the plane ride Franz's parents took him on at the small airport near his office. He and his dad went up after lunch. That was a definite highlight.
The newest Gottschalk Gamer. Dora the Explorer version of Candyland. She ALWAYS wins. And nobody gives it to her easy, either.
Papa Chocolate left, but softened his going with M&Ms. Papa "Popsicle" arrived next. Madeline thinks Papas are the best thing God ever created!
Eating is now serious business. Notice the ham attached to her chin. She didn't seem to mind. Katie ate feta cheese and Kalamata olives at lunch the other day.

Matching outfits from the Formans. Maddie was especially thrilled! They got to wear them to church together.

i cannot believe how much Katie looks like a Gottschalk - she could have been the child of any one - grandma, mom, any of dad's siblings. It's amazing! She looks so grown up, which I'm sure is ironic considering she doesn't crawl or walk, but she does eat MEAT.
