Belated Happy Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed a very fun and yummy Thanksgiving with friends at our house in Arizona. Franz and I made our first turkey (there may be more - it was good!) and a ham. We also did rolls, four pies (cherry berry, Dutch apple, pumpkin, pecan), and two kinds appetizers, plus hot spiced cider. Our friends brought all the sides. We had soooo much food.

I colored the outline of a tree on a poster board and cut out colorful leaf shapes from construction paper. We all took turns writing what we were thankful for on a couple of leaves and sticking them on the tree.


I turned our leftovers into lots of turkey stock for soup later, casseroles, and soups. It is a fun challenge to eat all the leftovers from Thanksgiving, and we're doing a good job!
