My Mental State

By the way, for those of you who were concerned about my physiological well-being during the past month, I am doing much better. Here are a few pieces of evidence to persuade you:
  • I allowed myself a 3 hour nap yesterday (tucked in with Katie while Madeline was at school)
  • I slept in (mostly undisturbed) until 10:00 today (Saturday)
  • I have paid my bills (although I haven't mailed them yet)
  • My kitchen and my laundry are clean (although the laundry is in folded stacks around the family room still)
  • I went out to dinner with family and friends last night
  • I was able to help a friend yesterday who needed a few hours of assistance and encouragement
  • My bursitis is cleared up (along with unrelated strange symptoms)
  • I have been to the grocery store
  • I have made it to bed this side of midnight almost every night this week
  • I hung out with the neighbors for awhile after taking the girls trick-or-treating
  • I haven't been back to the office since last Saturday, and have only worked a few hours from home this week
  • I'm finally looking forward to the holidays

So, feel free to take me off the urgent prayer list (although please keep me on the long-term support one!), and to give me a call or drop me an email if we haven't caught up in awhile. I'm not on overload anymore and it feels GREAT! (I'm just having to fight a general feeling of laziness.)

I'm happy you are experiencing some of the normal things of life these days! Yay for you! I didn't know you have burisitis...in what joint - shoulder? That's where I have it, so it was my best guess, as many of our strange physiological issues are similar.

Can't wait to see you soon. Let's share some holiday music! Love you.

How strange we'd have shoulder bursitis together. Left shoulder for me. How about you? Had to get a nasty little cortisone shot in it. Yick.
