Labor Day with the Family

We didn't get many pictures of the weekend with the family, but will share some of what we have. Maybe Lana will share some of hers.
Many activities were enjoyed by the 38-40 family members that came for the annual Labor Day get-together. Among them were a double elimination Corn Hole tournament organized by Wes. Great fun! Three Corn Hole game sets kept things going for the 20 or so participants. Evan and Brian were the winning team.
Bocce Ball, golf, fishing, rowboat rides, eating, and much visiting kept everyone busy. Then, of course, a cut-throat game of Aggravation with Grandpa Cummings showing everyone how aggravation got its name. But Lana, who refuses to play Grandpa's "get-everyone-you-can style" won.
Steve and Steve fished while some of the others golfed.

Susanna and Great Grandma spent alot of time "bonding" in the swing overlooking the lake.

Brock became frustrated when he was unable to pick up two footballs at once!

Toby enjoyed a crushed paper cup, trying it on for a hat. He smiled as he watched his dad demonstrate his tree-climbing skills in the nearby locust tree.

We had a wonderful time, as usual. The weather was perfect! About 25 spent the night, some at Evan and Emily's and some at the lake, extending the party overnight! We missed all of our terrific family members who were unable to join us!

Like my father, I firmly believe that in the end the good guys win. That's how I play games. Perhaps my grandpa's competitive nature contributed to my avoidance of games for so long. Never thought of that before.

Oh Lana, quit being melodramatic. Competition is the rule not the exception! And I've seen your competitiveness emerge at times. Yikes!
